Sometimes the simplest things can spark the most incredible moments. A cup of coffee starts a new revelation on life and several tall grasses frame a wide open field.

Caprocks Canyon is an incredible state park. There are dry river beds to follow, lots of small peaks to climb. and every view is breath taking. Despite the fact that I walked away that day with a severely damaged lens that will take over a month to repair, I consider the adventure well worth it.

We get some pretty strange and varied weather here in North Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. But when it’s March and we had a high of 64F the day before the last thing you’d expect would be snow.
Well. It snowed.
