Taken at Doe Branch Park near Little Elm, TX.
The creation of a photograph is often an active process. I push myself harder and harder to try concepts and ideas that might fail entirely for the small chance that they just might succeed. Other times, photography is relaxing therapy. It's something I do to ensure that I have absolutely nothing else to do. In these times I'm more content to just let each moment flow into the next with only a heightened sense of observation.
This image was taken in one of those later cases. What started out as just another beautiful evening in front of a cloudless sunset turned into something entirely different when I was suddenly struck with the notion to toss a single small stone into the lake in front of me.
This is that result.
