This is the view from where we sat and waited for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for three hours after our accident.
A very nice couple stayed with is the entire time, which was so very nice of them to do. I’m going to make a print of this and send it to them as a small thank you.
This was taken just after sunset about 30 miles north of Dallas, TX facing South West. These clouds were the outer most reach of Hurricane Rita’s western edge.
I almost didn’t wait for this one. The thick line of clouds was hiding the sun. It was over 30 minutes after “sunrise” and still, I’d seen nothing worth looking at. I was ready to pack up and find a spot to shoot in the other direction using the sun as light instead of as a subject. But, I decided to wait it out, at least 30 more minutes.
Not 5 minutes later, the sun pushed out from behind the clouds and this appeared. Patience is key and has such beautiful rewards.
This fantastic display due, at least in part, to Hurricane Rita rapidly approaching the Texas Coast about 400 miles South of here.
Jess and I got here just in time. The sun was setting and I knew we had about 15 minutes left before it would be gone. However, from where we were standing there were too many trees in the way. So, down the trail we went, hoping that it led to water and not of farther and farther into the trees. Thankfully, it landed us right on a nice rocky beach where we watched the sun fall the rest of the way down the sky.
I really like the separation of light and dark in this image. I could have burned through a couple gig of storage down in those tunnels alone, if I didnt have somewhere to be and police men checking up on me now and then.
This image is also a real testament to the versatility of todays digital cameras. While there is certainly more grain in this image than most of the images youll see from me, I was able to buy 3 stops instantly just by spinning a dial on my camera.
One of the most sensual images I’ve even taken of the female body. This one gets me every time.
This image of Gloria is from a shoot centered on Sensual Anonymity.
I took this image on a hot humid day in July in Prosper, TX. I really love the color in it and the way so many more colors are visible in the sky if you’re in just the right place at the right time.
Taken at Mission San Jose in San Antonio, TX. This path led into the cathedral and was lined, on the right, by room after room and, on the left, by the vast field enclosed in the Mission’s protective walls.
